Awesome fairly new discovery of Cherry to Orangey Red Almandine Spessartite Garnet coming from Kunar, Afghanistan. You can review the write up on this material in GIA's Gems & Gemology HERE! This is a nice lot of mostly Cherry to Crimson Red Garnet Oval Gemstones! The gems are not cut the greatest and are a bit dark; however, at $4.00 Per Carat we are basically covering costs on this parcel! This material was only faceted for testing & publication purposes and we don't have any more of this material available. Please note that it is VERY VERY difficult to get this material and there is only a VERY limited amount produced annually with high grade rough amounting to a few kilos at most but usually well under 1 kilo.
