Awesome Lot of Nigerian Amethyst Faceting Rough running from a Pastel Purple to a Siberian Purple with a few nice Purple/White Bicolors. This is facet grade material with roughly 80%+ being High Facet Grade. We estimate that 60%+ of this lot is Top Facet Grade capable of cutting Eye-Clean or better with a little hard work. We are confident that much of the remaining 40% is good Faceting material; however, you will have to work the material a bit harder to facet out flaws and/or mask them up.Most stones are chunky crystal sections and many show partial terminations. These are NOT small pieces and the average stone size is 8.35 Carats! There are a few stones in here that are slightly to moderately included and may be best suited for cabs but even those can be faceted with a little planning. At $1.00 per gram this is priced to sell so grab it while you can! |
