DESCRIPTION:

We have done it again folks! This is some of the most Awesome ULTRA-RARE Pastel Pink to Medium Dark Pastel Pink Apatite from Pakistan. Pink Apatite is EXTREMELY RARE in Facet Grade or Faceted Gems and we have NEVER before encountered stones of this caliber and color. We know of 1 large Purple Apatite Nodule that was uncovered in Afghanistan that sold for close to $4,000 IN Pakistan; however, that was a very large stone and an almost Peacock Purple in color! We have had these two stones for close to a year contemplating on what to do with them as we were not able to encounter more of this material. The stones overall are NODULES (we have NEVER before seen Apatite Nodules and I don't think you will again for a VERY long time!).

We actually purchased a 1/2 dozen specimens specifically to get these stones cobbed out of one of the crystals. When the original seller saw the 16.63 Carat Nodule we took out he immediately offered us 2 times the price he sold us the lot for! These stones are EXTREMELY clean and you should be able to take out two nice eye-clean to flawless finished gems from this lot with little effort. The large stone does have some minor silk on one end; however, this looks to be totally confined to the surface and it should facet out with normal faceting. The large stone is 16.63 carats and it is quite conceivable that you could take out a 6-7 carat stone if you worked really hard at it! We DON'T plan on getting more of this so, if you want it, don't miss the opportunity!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Facet Grade Pink Apatite is rarely available in the marketplace and the only location we know that regularly produces any kind of Pink Apatite is Pakistan (and occasionally Afghanistan though Afghan Apatite tends to be more on the Purple end). Most of the Apatite that is produced in Pakistan is of Specimen or Low Grade with crystals generally being too included to Facet; however, Facet Rough can occasionally be found though it is rare to encounter anything over a carat or two in clean material. We have only ONCE encountered nice Facet Grade Pink Apatite and we DOUBT we will encounter it again in this quality!
