SMOKING Lot of Tangerine to Reddish Orange Spessartite Garnet Faceting Rough from Nigeria with the most spectacular color. This is probably the BEST lot we have up at this time and there is NO WAY you can get this caliber material FROM Nigeria in this size range at this price! These are nice chunky water worn nodules and crystals or crystal sections with a bright color. This is not FLAWLESS material but it is some of the cleanest material available and in all honesty we haven't seen material as clean in this size range in the past in rough with one exception. Please note that the average stone weight for this parcel is approximately 15.5 Carats!!

Most of these stones should cut in the Eye-clean to slightly included range with a little hard work. This is some great material that we are offering at a discounted price. 1. Nigerian and Namibian Mandarin Garnet deposits are fast being depleted with most of the earlier larger material gone already. Initial finds were alluvial in nature and as those sources are depleted more work will be required to unearth these treasures at the primary deposits. This in the end will boil down to higher prices and sporadic production.
