This is a super lot of a fairly NEW FIND of Hessonite Garnet coming from Afghanistan. The color of this material runs from a fiery Tangerine to a Reddish Orange! Please be aware that this rough may be a mixture of Spessartite and/or Hessonite (Possibly other Garnets as well) which are generally included species of Garnet. It is extremely difficult to acquire eye-clean to flawless rough in either species particularly in this color range. This lot represents some of the BETTER of this material we have seen to date! These are very chunky pieces for the deposit. Most of this material WILL cut eye-clean to very slightly included finished stones with a little hard work and planning. This lot is running roughly 70%+ High to Top Facet Grade and there are some KILLER stones in here. Don't miss your chance on picking up this lot as this quality is a RARITY! |
