DESCRIPTION:

Awesome vibrant Silver to White Afghan Goshenite Faceting & Cabbing Rough. Most of this material is a nice Silver in color. Overall this parcel is running roughly 50% high Facet Grade. Much of the rough has some minor inclusions; however, the material is very gemmy. Our estimate on the Facet Grade potential for the material is also conservative and with some hard work with a saw you may take out quite a bit more in regards to Faceting Rough. We haven't gone through cobbing this rough up as it was on the large side and we didn't want to spend the time with the cobber. As a result, we have extremely discounted this parcel for a quick sale. I don't think you should have a problem making the value of the lot with cutting just 1 good stone. We are confident that you will get some killer stones out of this lot with a little effort.

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghanistan seldom produces Goshenite on a regular basis. Much of this material is treated to produce Golden Beryl and various shades of Yellow. It is important to note that many people are selling this Yellow Beryl as natural. From our experience and dealings we have come to the conclusion that most of the material that is Yellow Beryl and claimed to be of Afghani or Pakistani origin is actually treated Pakistani & Afghani Goshenite and Aquamarine . In 7+ years of traveling to the region and purchasing from the local markets we have NEVER once come across any Natural Golden Beryl from the region.
