This is a new find of Pastel Yellow to Medium Golden Yellow Scapolite Faceting Rough from Mozambique! This material was purchased in Tanzania; however, the seller of this material assured us that it was from Mozambique from a fairly new find and that he brought it over to Tanzania himself. Most of these stones are a nice pastel to medium Golden Yellow and unlike the Pale material that has saturated the market. A few of these stones do have a very unusual black inclusion that looks similar to the inclusions found in the "Glitter" Sunstone from Tanzania. Roughly 75%+ of this material is High grade facet rough. These are not small stones and the average weight is about 23 carats! Don't miss this bargain!

1. Yellow Scapolite turns a nice Purple and Lavender once Irradiated in a cobalt 60 unit at 400-500 Megarads. Post and prior heating lightens color saturation.
