DESCRIPTION:

This is a NEW FIND of Scapolite coming from Badakshan, Afghanistan. Most of these stones are a bit small; however, there are quite a few chunky pieces in here as well that would be great for faceting, cabbing or an interesting jewelry project. Most of this material is composed of Crystals with at least one terminated end and we are estimating that roughly 25% or so of the lot is good Facet Grade. These are a very soft purple/lavender color unlike most Scapolite available. We got this lot at a steal and are passing the savings on to you!
COOL FACTS:

  1. This is from the third lot of Scapolite I have seen coming from Afghanistan. We are hearing of dozens of new finds in Badakshan of several different gem species and are anxiously awaiting to see first hand what is coming from the region.
