ULTRA RARE lot of Electric Yellow to Golden SELECT Sphene Faceting Rough. We acquired a very large parcel of Sphene Faceting Rough on our last trip to Pakistan and this lot represents part of that purchase. This material is very sporadically produced and is mined in conjunction with other gems coming from the mining area including Bastnaesite. The price on this material has been climbing steadily over the last few years and production has been doing a freefall. From all the Sphene deposits we are aware of in the region this deposit produces stones with the BEST DISPERSION.

This is SELECT Faceting Rough and most of the stones in this lot should cut eye-lean or better with the bulk being able to facet 10x clean. A few stones do have some minor inclusions primarily located on the periphery of the rough; however, we are confident that most if not all will facet out with a little planning and hard work! Please note that the crystal structure of Sphene is generally prohibitive to chunky crystal sections and some stones in the parcel as a result are relatively thin; however, the material overall is considered chunky for the species and locality!

This is the material that you see retailing for $10.00+ per carat! This is TOP TOP Faceting Grade material having every bad stone picked out and there are quite a few killer pieces in here. We are confident you will get a spectacular finished gem from practically every stone in here with a little work. This is the only lot of Sphene we have up and it is likely to go quick so don't pass this by!
