DESCRIPTION:

Peach to Peacock Purple Lot of alluvial Spinel from the Tunduru Riverbeds in Tanzania. Overall this material is on the dark side and the lot as a whole is running roughly 50% Medium to High Facet Grade. Most of the lot is composed of Spinel; however, we did notice that there was an odd Sapphire and/or Garnet here and there. This material is not the best; however, it is extremely discounted at a must have $.75 Per Gram! The price on this material has been climbing and it is a good time to invest in some of this rough before the source is run completely dry.

COOL FACTS:
  1. Tanzania has long been known as a source for the most beautiful Peacock Purple and Cornflower Blue Spinels. This material is alluvial in nature and as a result most of this material tends to be very high facet grade. Over the last few years 1+ gram stones have become increasingly scarce and smaller stones are beginning to go up in price considerably.
