Super Bicolored & Tricolored Vibrant Cornflower Blue to Turquoise Blue Afghan Tourmaline lot containing all crystals fully terminated at one end with excellent luster and lovely striations running down the length of some of the crystals. This is from a new discovery of Tourmaline from Kantiwow and contains some of the most amazing color combinations available in Afghan Tourmaline! From what we were told this was from 1 of only 2 pockets of Tourmaline discovered with this color and we are pleased to be able to provide it to you here. This was an odd lot that I had around and never posted up until now because of our desire to sell it to a crystal collector rather than a faceter. Most of these are extremely clean and would yield eye-clean to very slightly included stones if cut with really only 1 exception. There is a very significant amount of facetable material in here; however, I don't know if that is what you would want to do with this lot. We estimate high facet grade material to be around 85%.

Current prices for this colored material in Afghanistan are about my asking price for the lot. There are quite a few killer stones in this lot and I have pictured them separately so you can see their real beauty! Most stones in here are very clean  and every stone is nice and chunky with amazing colors and capable of giving above average yield if cut. I would really prefer that a crystal collector pick up this lot so as to preserve its natural beauty; however, it is just far more valuable and easier to sell as cutting grade material and that is why it is listed here. This lot is being sold as Crystal grade and is priced as such; however,  it is one of the best bargains we have up with some killer stones that will easily facet super gems!

1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color& quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
