STONE 1
12.23 Carats & 9x13x13 MM. This is a nice and bulky cross between a nodule
and a crystal section shaped for high yield. The color runs from a Phenomenal Neon
Turquoise Blue down the AB Axis to a slightly Bluish Green down the C Axis. The stone looks like it should cut eye-clean
or better with a little planning and hard work. Please note that this
stone does have some minor feathering that is primarily concentrated at one end.
The feathering will unfortunately bring down yield to where it is average or
slightly below; however, the remainder of the stone looks almost eye-clean and
we are confident you will get a breathtaking stone from this parcel.

7.69 Carats & 9x10x10 MM. This is a nice and bulky crystal
section shaped for high yield. The color is primarily a Neon
Blue. The stone looks like it should cut eye-clean to very slightly included with a little planning and
hard work. Please note that the
stone does have some inclusions and feathering: however, most are concentrated
on the periphery and should facet out with proper planning while the rest should Mask
Up well. We anticipate that yield should be slightly below average if you go
for the cleanest finished stone; however, you will have to
take a few minutes to plan the orientation of this stone to insure you get an
eye-clean to very slightly included finished gemstone.

Awesome lot of two Neon Blue/Green to Neon Blue Afghan Tourmalines. This is Top
Faceting Rough. Please see above for a detailed description of
each particular stone.
This is the material that has made Afghan
Tourmaline the benchmark in Tourmaline perfection! It doesn't get much better
than this (Nodules being the exception). Every one of these is a SUPER lovely
color and an ideally shaped crystal section. This is the material that runs
$150+ per carat once cut and is practically impossible to get your
hands on in the rough.
This is TOP faceting grade material and both
stones should cut 10x clean with a little hard work and some planning unless
otherwise noted above. The
stones do have some minor inclusions and fracturing; however, these are for the
most part
confined to the surface or in close proximity to it and most should facet out
with relative ease. The largest stone in here looks like it should cut
around 3-4 carats and should produce an Electric Greenish Blue gemstone that we
are confident will command at least $200+ Per Carat.
This lot is not for the amateur and this is PREMIUM ROUGH! This stuff has to be seen to be
fully appreciated. Please note that we have
SEVERELY
discounted this parcel due to the inclusions present and there is no way you can
get this price on this caliber material

Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a
result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen
Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality
material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1
kilo.

All Afghan
Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs
are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling
expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to
note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most
rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
