DESCRIPTION:

Awesome Lilac Purple to Violet Mozambique Paraiba Tourmaline Faceting Rough. This was procured on our last trip to Mozambique where we purchased it AT the mines. Most of what we had acquired on the trip that was TOP caliber sold within a week or so of arriving in New York or while we were still in Mozambique. This is one of the larger stones that is left on hand that is facet grade and a more desired color. The color is better in person and for the price we have on this there really is no way you can go wrong! The only reason we can sell it for $100 Per Gram is because we purchased it in the BUSH!! God knows what the price on this material is now as Facet Rough prices for top pieces are hovering around $2,500 Per Gram at the moment IN Mozambique. There are stones coming out that are over 100 Grams and Flawless but they don't come cheap!!!

Overall the stone is very clean; however, it does have some minor inclusions you will have to work around for any finished Gem(s). Many of the inclusions can be oriented perpendicular to the table to mask them up well for the face up view of any finished stone and/or hidden under bezel facets. In addition, there are some clean sections that look like they may go up to 3 or so carats that you should be able to saw and/or cob out if you want to shoot for the cleanest stone(s) possible; however, that is something you will have to decide. This is a nice and chunky alluvial stone and we are confident it will support high weight return! We only have a limited amount of this material and I'm pretty sure there isn't enough to go around for everyone so grab this before it is gone! Where on earth can you get Paraiba rough for $20.00 per carat?
