DESCRIPTION:

Great lot of bright vibrant apple green Peridot from Supatt, Pakistan. This is a sweet lot composed almost entirely of Peridot Crystals. Many of these crystals have facetable areas and quite a bit of the material is high grade cabbing rough; however, this lot is ideal for crystal collectors and resale as crystals.  This lot is being sold as crystal rough and it should be purchased as such. We got this lot at a STEAL and are passing the savings on to you. If you take a look around the web you will see that each of these crystals would easily sell for a few dollars a piece with some running up to $50+. Please note that many of these stones do have some small inclusions and the white veiling common to Pakistani Peridot. We do not recommend purchasing this lot as cutting rough because we believe these crystals should be preserved in their natural state as Peridot crystals are a rarity presently only produced in Pakistan in any significant quantity.

Most of these pieces in this lot are uniform in color consisting of the Apple Green that Pakistan is known for without the olive overtones. There are some lovely crystals in here and the lot is well worth the price!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Pakistani Peridot has climbed the charts to become known as the best and is for  Peridot what Kashmir is for Sapphire! There really is no other Peridot that compares with the Pakistani material as far as color and quality go on a consistent basis and as stones get larger there is no competition!

  2. The Pakistani Peridot mines are located at an altitude of roughly 15,000-16,000 feet and are roughly a 6 hour trek over several mountains on mule & foot (This is for a 1/2 way experienced climber and it will take considerably longer for a novice)! The Supatt area is known to have some of the world's most breathtaking sites and you can see some of these in our picture galleries.
