DESCRIPTION:

This is the material that has made Afghan Tourmaline the benchmark in Tourmaline perfection! It doesn't get much better than this for color. This is a Spectacular lot of Afghan Tourmaline running from an Insane Paraiba Blue to a Sapphire Blue. Please note that this material is WAY better than the pictures above indicate! Most of these are a SUPER lovely Electric Turquoise to Neon Paraiba Blue and almost every stone is a crystal section (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline). Please note that most of the stones in this lot will cut eye-clean or better with the bulk being able to facet 10x clean. The largest stone in this lot is roughly 18 carats and is a super insane Sapphire Blue in color. The C axis is closed but the color on it is just mind blowing and we're confident that the stone alone should bring the full value of the lot!

This is the material that you see retailing for $15.00+ per carat and prices for some of this material reach $150.00 PER GRAM IN PAKISTAN in 2+ gram sizes! Most of this is TOP TOP faceting grade material having almost every bad stone picked out and there are quite a few killer pieces in here. Practically every stone in the lot is a nice crystal section capable of giving above average yield. This is the best colored lot we have up and it is one of our best deals likely to go quick so don't pass this by!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
