DESCRIPTION:

Awesome lot of Cobalt Blue to Parrot Green Afghan Tourmaline Faceting Rough. This is a premier lot for anyone interested in rough for commercial cutting or volume purchasing at a rock bottom price! This lot is running roughly 65%+ Facet Grade with roughly 50% of the lot being Top Facet Grade material. Most of these pieces are nice and chunky crystal sections capable of giving above average yield.

We don't normally list lots such as this because it is a mix of quality and size; however, we are confident that the price on this makes it irresistible. If we broke this lot down into smaller lots we could easily sell this lot for twice the price we have it listed at! If you are looking for your get in the business starter lot or to commercially cut Tourmaline for resale, this is a lot you won't want to leave behind! This lot is priced to sell so don't miss out.

Please note that since this lot is mine direct we haven't gone through cobbing and cleaning and you will need to sort through this lot to separate the different qualities and colors.

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
