Magnificent bright Orangey Red to a Deep Tangerine Red Garnet from Nigeria. This material was sent to us as a sample of Malaya Garnet from Nigeria; however, the material is actually a mixture of several types of Garnet. We have not had this material tested and therefore can't identify the species of Garnet it is; however, there looks to be some Spessartite, Rhodolite and "Malaya" Garnets in here. Some of this material is a bit dark; however, most should face up nice and bright. The lot is roughly 50%+ Facet Grade with 1/3 of the stones in here are capable of producing eye-clean to very slightly included finished gems with little effort.
