This is a super lot of a NEW FIND of Spessartite and/or Hessonite Garnet coming from Afghanistan. The color of this material is just phenomenal and runs from a lovely almost Mandarin Orange to a fiery Tangerine with Red Flashes! Please be aware that this rough is a mixture of Spessartite and/or Hessonite (Possibly other Garnets as well) which are generally included species of Garnet. It is extremely difficult to acquire eye-clean to flawless rough in either species. Most of this material WILL have at least minor inclusions; however, most inclusions tend to mask up well because of the high refractive index of this material. These inclusions should NOT significantly impact the cleaner finished stones.

We have rough graded this material as being 75%+ good facet grade and there are some KILLER stones in here. The clarity on this material is very similar to your TYPICAL Nigerian and Namibian Mandarin Garnet! Most stones will cut very slightly included at the least; however, you may be able to get a few Eye-clean stones out of this lot with a little hard work. We are conservatively estimating that the bulk of this material will cut very slightly to slightly included stones. Don't miss your chance on picking up this lot.
