Nice Mixed lot of Afghan Morganite for Faceting and Cabbing. Most of this lot is cabbing grade material; however, there is a significant amount of facetable material in here. There are eye-clean areas in many stones. You should be able to facet quite a few stones that run into several carats with many being eye-clean. I would conservatively say that 10%+ of this material is high grade faceting rough but it has not yet been cobbed and/or sawed clean. In total I would say that anywhere from 20%-35% of this material is a mixture of low to top grade facet rough. Please don't be fooled by the pictures. Many stones have a dull exterior yet house clean areas.

1. In Afghanistan Morganite is almost always classified by crystal structure and not so much by color. This is why you will occasionally see some light Aqua colored stones in Afghan Morganite lots.

2. There is only a limited amount of Afghan Morganite produced every year and annual production has been steadily decreasing.
