Great Pastel Pink to Pastel Pinkish Purple and Whitish Lilac Afghan Tourmaline Needle Crystal lot for Cabbing or Wire wrapping. Most of the stones in this lot are slightly included to moderately included and really will not support any faceting. The lot is largely composed of crystals and crystals sections that are elongated and many are terminated at one or two ends. This was from a new Tourmaline find and is part of the initial production. All this material is fairly uniform in size and quality so there are really no surprises in picking this up. We have priced this to move so grab this before you miss your chance. This lot is being sold as strictly cabbing grade and is priced as such!

1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color& quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
